Blood Sugar Testing without Blood Sample
Diabetics need a drop of blood to check their blood sugar, which is obtained by tapping a fine needle on a finger and applying it to a special bandage to determine the amount of sugar. But a well-known Japanese company startup has claimed to have found a solution to a major problem facing medical technology. According to the company, the company has developed a prototype wristwatch that can be used to check blood sugar without a syringe.
The company's Sugar Monitor watch has been introduced at the Virtual Event (CES Technology Exhibition) by Quantum Operations Corporation. The device, which looks like an Apple Watch, has a spectrometer that scans the blood to check glucose levels.According to the company, the main component of this watch is spectroscopy in the watch and band. After tying the watch to the wrist, the user has to slide and activate the monitoring from the menu after which the data will start appearing after 20 seconds. The watch is also capable of reading other important symptoms, including heart rate and ECG.
